Tim joined Compass Partners as a Partner in 2008.

Tim has over 25 years private equity experience, he commenced his career at Apax Partners in 1988 and ultimately became a Director in their Buyout Group.  In 2003 he joined Vision Capital as a Managing Director with a focus on secondary direct transactions.

 

Prior to starting his private equity career Tim worked as a consultant at Bain & Company and was an oilfield engineer at Schlumberger Wireline.

During his career in private equity, Tim has deployed almost €700 million in over 15 deals including 3 portfolio transactions.  Investments have been made in all investment stages and across industry sectors.

 

Tim has been a non executive director of more than 12 companies, in most cases being the shareholder representative.  He has significant experience in monitoring post acquisition activities and exits.

Tim holds a 1st class BSc Honours in Mining from the University of Nottingham.
